Refund policy
Returns (Scooters Only)
If you change your mind after buying from us and want a refund, you have up to 4 days from the day of your order you will need to return the product to us before we can provide a refund. Solar Scooters can help arrange the return for a charge of $290, for Hyperion or FF 2.0 the return fee is $345 due to oversize and weight, also the item must be returned in its original packaging and the scooter must not be USED and all parts must be unused and unboxed.
Please kindly note upon receiving your return, any using parts or damage caused by the buyer, the cost of value will be withheld out of the refund. The refund will be refunded deducting a restocking/bank processing fee of 8% depending on the price of the scooter, plus the original shipping fee. These fees are charged from processing merchant fees and not refunded to us.
Any orders or pre order scooters can only be cancelled within 5 days of purchasing due to allocations, a cancelation fee of 8% will be applied to cover any admin and or other related costs. Cancellations after 5 days will not be accepted.
Any orders cancelled during transit will incur the 8% cancellation fee plus original and return shipping fee. This is calculated on a case to case basis.
All Tron edition scooters cannot be refunded as these are custom built scooters per customers order.
If any part of the order has custom modifications which can include parts bought from third party retailers and fitted by Solar Scooters, Solar Scooter cannot provide any warranty for these parts nor take any responsibility.
To initiate a return, you need to contact us via our email address: support@solarscooters.com. Please include your order number and the reason for your return in your correspondence.
Once your goods are received back at Solar Scooters they will be assessed by a Solar Scooters representative. Any missing parts or damage resulting in a reduction in the retail value of the products will result in an equivalent deduction in your refund amount, please note the loss in value caused by any excessive use or handling of the product will always be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
Refurbished scooters - Any refurbished scooters or products are not eligible for a refund under any circumstances.
KATAPULT - Orders through Katapult have a 14 day return policy for unused products.
Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.
Any accessories or parts purchases are not eligible for return. If an order for parts/accessories is cancelled prior to dispatch it will apply a 8% cancellation fee.
Solar E-Motorbikes
Cancelling for all orders after dispatch/pre-dispatch
If the order is cancelled after being ordered a 8% processing fee for order cancellation will be charged if the items have not shipped to cover administration fees.
Cancellation for the Solar E-Clipse can only be done within 4 days of pre-ordering only. Cancellation after this period will not be accepted as the VIN would be assigned to the new owner.
By placing a order for the Solar E-Clipse including pre orders, you acknowledge and agree that your order is a custom-built unit. Once the order is dispatched and VIN has been assigned or the bike enters production, your order becomes non-cancellable and non-refundable under any circumstances.
Refusal to accept delivery or failure to coordinate delivery with the courier will not constitute cancellation of an order or eligibility for a refund. The product will remain your responsibility, and any resulting storage, return or re-delivery fees will be billed to you.
Unauthorized returns or items shipped without a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) will be refused.
Late or missing refunds
Where refunds are approved, they will be processed within 5–10 business days of confirmation and issued to the original payment method.
Refund timelines depend on your bank’s internal policies and are outside our control.

Repairs and Servicing
We do facilitate a repair and service hub in the USA. All repairs and servicing where under warranty will be covered by Solar Scooters at discretion. Solar Scooters do provide a courier pick up service, this is a third-party service and is chargeable, depending on the state the customer is in, the charge is applicable even if the product is under warranty, the service will include collection and return. Any product bought in for servicing or repairs in person or via a customers own courier choice will have no inbound courier fee and only an outbound courier fee if shipped back only.
Repairs not under warranty will be discussed with the customer via email or phone and any payments to be made will need to be paid before any work is carried out on the product.
Gifts
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.
If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and he will find out about your return.
Shipping
Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund. Plus any outbound shipping costs incurred by Solar Scooters will also be deducted even where free shipping has been stated, the actual fee will be deducted upon return of items.
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.
You should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
